Green eyes are one of the rarest eyes worldwide. Green eyes have almost the same amount of melanin present in blue eyes but less than brown eyes. Moreover, the dominant pigmentation of green eyes is reddish yellow. The most significant number of green-eyed people is found in central and northern Europe; even green eye color is not rare in some countries because 90% of people in Iceland have green eyes or blue eyes.
