Dinner fork

Dinner forks are used for the main course. It is the largest type of fork present on the table. All other forks are placed on the right or left side of the dinner fork. The placement of other forks depends upon the order of courses, as these are after or before the main course. Dinner forks are present at every table. Basic home cutlery only has a dinner fork, which is used to eat anything from the main course to dessert. Dinner forks mostly do not have a sharp tine, as these are paired with a knife to assist in cutting.
