White Corn

White corn is a famous staple food in the southern United States. This corn has a strong, cylindrical appearance. The height of the white corn plant is considered to be 10-25cm long. The kernels of white corn are white in color due to the absence of carotenoids in them. The kernels are surrounded by gold-colored rusk. One ear of corn can hold almost 200-400 kernels in it. These white kernels are sweet in taste and also have crispy and tender consistency. But they become hard and doughier when ripe. These corns are available round the year.
